We know some of our guests are accustomed to bringing on board their own supply of bottled water, so for your convenience, bottled water can be pre-purchased prior to your cruise by visiting /funshops. Water will be delivered to your stateroom on embarkation day. Bottled water may also be purchased on board by contacting Room Service. Once on board, your purchase is non-refundable; you may take home any unopened bottles. As you walk up the gangway, a member of the cruise staff will welcome you aboard.
Online Check-In FAQs
In all areas where beverage service is offered, guests may show the Bottomless Bubbles sticker and receive a glass of the carbonated soft drink of their choice. One 16-ounce glass will be served at a time (10-ounce glass for juice) and only to the guest whose name appears on the Sail & Sign card with the Bottomless Bubbles sticker attached. While in port, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought on board. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12-ounces/354-ml each or less per person. An unexpired government-issued photo ID is required of all guests 16 years of age and older. A Mobile/Digital version of a photo ID is not an acceptable form of identification.
Money and Gratuities
Please note that if the cruise visits Colombia or Greenland, a passport book (valid for at least six months beyond the completion of travel) is required. A passport card with the same validity is also acceptable for cruises to Colombia. Travel insurance can be purchased through the cruise line or Allianz Global Assistance prior to final payment with Cruise.Com. The price will vary depending on the cost and length of your cruise. The purchase of travel insurance is strongly recommended. Once you are within the final payment period the cruise lines will impose strict cancellation penalties as outlined in their brochures.
Travel Documentation and Online Check-in
In specialty restaurants and on the luxury cruise ships, jackets and ties for men are suggested for men and cocktail dresses or a nice pantsuit outfit would be appropriate for women. Tuxedos are no longer the norm for formal nights as even on the most formal of ships, a dark suit and tie are fine for the dressiest occasions. Again, these are guidelines and your evening attire is left up to your discretion. Gratuities vary by cruise line and are usually added to your shipboard account. A general rule of thumb is to plan for about $12.50 to $15.00 per person per day which includes gratuities for your room steward and dining room staff. On many cruise lines it is now possible to prepay the above gratuities.
Carnival has an impressive fleet of vessels and adds more every year. There are currently 24 ships with more maiden voyages scheduled later this year. There are cruises as brief as two days and some as long as 31 days, depending on where you’re headed. If you’re not yet familiar with the cruise line, there’s lots to learn about the company. It has been around since 1972 and is part of the Carnival family of cruise lines that includes Princess, Holland America and Cunard.
Getting to and from Port
I will say that the food on the cruise is normally really good! There is a sports track to walk or jog around, basketball courts, swimming pool, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, dance classes, yoga class and oh yeah a huge gym on board. There are options for everyone to burn off calories and to enjoy amazing food. In keeping with U.S. federal law, the minimum age to purchase tobacco products is 21.

The Best Cruise Lines

If the ship is more important than the route, take a look at Carnival’s ship lineup and what each has to offer, plus where they sail. For example, an off-season cruise to the Bahamas in February might cost $189 while the same cruise in June could be $684 for the same cabin on the same ship. On embarkation day, a boarding pass will be emailed to your email address that is linked to your reservation profile, whether Check-in has been completed or not. At embarkation, you may show the boarding pass on your mobile phone.

Trusted Traveler Program Cards – NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST enrollment cards can speed your entry into the U.S. and are issued only to pre-approved, low-risk travelers. The cards are valid for use at land or sea; the NEXUS card can be used in airports with a NEXUS kiosk. Shore excursions can be purchased in advance with the Cruise.com Shore Excursion Department or with the cruise line.
Most cruise lines include transfers between the airport and the pier on embarkation/disembarkation day if you have purchased an air/sea package directly with them.
